Dynamic NPC Conversation
n Aerrevan, NPCs are intelligent beings. You can talk to them by typing text the same way you would communicate with other human players. NPCs are able to understand the English language and respond in meaningful and incredibly immersive ways that bring the player into the game like never before. Ask NPCs about anything from global events and other topics of interest, local lore and even events in the NPC's own life. Quests aren’t always apparent to the player, meaning you may have to talk to the NPC to uncover a task that they need help with. This level of dynamic NPC interaction has never before been implemented in a large scale MMO environment, and we are very excited to present this system to the MMO market.
Seamless World
hile exploring, you will never have to experience a single loading screen or pause in gameplay. Utilizing dynamic loading, tile based terrain and interior portaling, everything from houses, dungeons and even the entire game world are 100% seamless. In addition, every building has an interior, allowing players to fully explore the world around them with no boundaries.
Classless Characters
n Aerrevan, your character does not have a defined class. Instead, your actions and preferred skills dictate your character's strengths and weaknesses. Choose from 14 skill categories each with 25 unique spells and skills allowing you to create your ultimate character! There are absolutely no restrictions on what skills you can use, want to make an Orcish archer mage that wears full plate armor? Go ahead! By using your own unique set of skills, your character will become stronger in their own way, ensuring a balanced gameplay experience no matter how you choose to play.
Guild Control Points
sing our Guild Control Point system, leaders of guilds can become powerful and well known figures in the game world. Any allied guild can capture a point in PvP battle, these points range from lone towers and small villages to massive capital cities. Guild leaders can then control the inner workings of the city such as trade tariffs, taxes, defense budget and more. Guild leaders who poorly manage their points can face civilian uprisings and loss of guild money. Well managed points can make the guild money and become a base of operations and territory for their Alliance. If a guild controls a city for long enough, the NPC citizens will learn the name of the controlling guild and its leader and express their opinions on them via the NPC Conversation System.
Aer Mutation
s you progress in Aerrevan, your character will begin to accumulate Aer in their body. Aer can be contracted from a number of sources including infected monsters and Aer heavy environments. If the Aer reaches concentrations beyond what your body can handle, you will begin to mutate. At first mutation makes you stronger, but soon after you will sharply decline in strength and need to remove the Aer from your body before you can fight effectively.
Player-run Shops
layers can create their own shop to sell everything from random loot to crafted equipment. These shops will not require you to stay in a set location; you can hire a shopkeeper to run it for you.
PvP Battle
layers who are part of an allied guild become hostile to players of different alliances. Joining an allied guild places you in 100% open PvP. Either play it safe in friendly territory or fight on the front lines and defend your alliance, the choice is yours. Unallied players do not have to engage in PvP unless they choose to, you can arrange duels with other players at any time, allowing you to select what level of PvP you wish to engage in.
Guilds and Parties
errevan features four levels of player organization; alliance, guild, clan and party. Each level of organization serves a very different purpose.
ach of the great mages has their own alliance. Your alliance dictates what guilds you can join, who you donate your Aer to, and most importantly, who you can engage in open PvP. Players can even create their own alliances if they do not wish to follow a Great Mage. This is the largest level of player organization.
uilds are long-standing groups of players. Guilds can choose to join any alliance via ambassador NPCs, ultimately choosing who, and what, all the guild members fight for. Guilds have the capability to control cities and make major contributions to their respective alliance. Guild leaders have the potential to become some of the most powerful players in the game. The Aerrevan guild system is left intentionally open to corruption and illicit activities within the boundaries of realistic gameplay, putting great responsibility on the shoulders of these leaders to ensure their guild is free of corruption.
lans are created by players who do not wish to be part of an alliance but still want to be part of a long-standin g group of players. Clans cannot hold territory, but can still work towards common goals. Clans also hold great roleplay potential, allowing for players to form their own cults and other specified organizations. A Clan can never join an alliance.
arties are short-term groupings for working towards a common goal or objective. Parties will only persist as long as a player is logged in to the game. A party leader decides loot splitting, experience sharing and other party variables.
